Apple Picking, Maybe Exhibition 2026

The interactive event "Apple Picking, Maybe Exhibition 2026" (Ringo-gari Kamoshirenai Ten 2026) will be held from November 14 at the gallery space "Hobo Nichi Sunday" on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO. It is organized by "Hobonichi." Held every year around this time since 2021, the event is inspired by "Ringo Kamoshirenai" (It Might Be an Apple), a popular picture book by author Shinsuke Yoshitake.
A large tree sculpture serving as the symbol of the event is set up in the center of the gallery, where visitors can enjoy an indoor "apple picking (maybe)."
Highlights
- Over 50 varieties of apples: Apples from "Sun Farm," a farm in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, run for about 300 years across 11 generations, arrive in several batches during the event, including rare varieties. Each comes with a variety-name sticker, so you can compare sweetness, tartness, and flesh firmness to make your choice (from 300 yen each).
- Free cutting service: Apples you pick can be eaten on the spot. They can also be sliced into rings with the skin on and enjoyed like a snack.
- Café space: Straight-pressed juice from Aomori's "Suppai Ringo no Senmonten." (Sour Apple Specialty Shop) is available, with five sourness levels to choose from. A three-juice tasting set and an apple pie available only at the venue are also offered.
Merchandise
Embroidered pins of "Fuji" and "Kogyoku (Jonathan)" (1,100 yen each) return for the first time in five years. This year's main visual features the "glasses kid" driving an apple car, and new items include an acrylic keychain (660 yen) and a die-cut sticker (500 yen).
Opening hours are 11:00 to 20:00 (last order at the café: 19:30). Admission is free, and numbered tickets will be distributed when crowded. The event runs through December 6.
