Shaping the "Memory of Life" with Tosa Washi

"Katadoru, Toki wo. — THE SHAPE OF TIME —," the first solo exhibition by third-generation bonsai artist Daisuke Mariko, is being held in the North 2F POP-UP area of MIYASHITA PARK.

On display are works from the JUME BONSAI "SHOKEI" series, a unique series that uses Tosa washi paper to form the shapes of trees.

Highlights

  • Delicate gradations of tone that evoke the passage of time
  • Expressions of cracking that suggest weathering
  • The form of the time a tree has lived, born from the artist's gaze, shaped by many years of facing life

Details

  • Dates: Friday, November 6 – Sunday, November 15, 2026
  • Hours: 11:00–21:00
  • Venue: MIYASHITA PARK North 2F POP-UP area

Because the exhibition is open until 9 p.m., it is easy to stop by on your way home from work. Through works that express the world of bonsai in paper, why not reflect on the time that trees have carved?
