Ishinomaki Laboratory New Collection Exhibition "Moving Forward"

Published Oct 30, 2026

Ishinomaki Laboratory's new collection exhibition "Moving Forward" is being held at the cafe dotcom space Tokyo in Harajuku, Tokyo. The exhibition runs from Saturday, October 17, 2026 to Sunday, November 15, 2026.

dotcom space Tokyo is a community space that combines specialty coffee, design, and technology. It was designed by Keiji Ashizawa Design and opened in 2019.

Exhibition Highlights

New products created in collaboration with three overseas-based design studios and designers (BIG-GAME, TAF Studio, and Daniel Schofield) are displayed alongside representative furniture from Ishinomaki Laboratory, founded in 2011, in a layout by stylist Yumi Nakata.

  • BOX STOOL (BIG-GAME)
  • STUDIO TROLLEY (TAF Studio)
  • RA BIRD (Daniel Schofield)

Karimoku Furniture was involved in manufacturing the new products, which use GLT (Gathered Laminated Timber) made by making full use of hardwood from Japan's satoyama woodlands. BOX STOOL and STUDIO TROLLEY can be disassembled for compact packing and transport, carrying on the DIY spirit that Ishinomaki Laboratory has long cherished.

During the exhibition, collaboration menu items are also available at the cafe. Admission is free, and opening hours are 10:00–18:30.
